Feb 18, 2020
Wall Racing will field three Porsches at the opening round of the 2020 PAYCE Porsche Carrera Cup championship in Adelaide this weekend.
Greg Ward will be back in car 68, after competing in the final round of the 2019 championship and will be Wall Racing’s Pro-Am driver for the 2020 season.

David Wall will be back in car 38 for the opening round and Joey Mawson joins Wall Racing in car 96. Joey is no stranger to Porsches having raced Porsche Supercup in Europe last year, and he is a welcomed addition to Wall Racing.

“It’s great to have Greg back with the team in 2020 for a full-season campaign, after a positive debut at the final round in 2019,” said David Wall, Wall Racing Team Owner.
“Having Joey join the team is excellent, Joey’s performance is Supercup impressive.”
“I feel we should be able to pick up from where the year ended, which was right up the pointy end fighting for podiums.”
“Joey is the perfect fit for Wall Racing as we feel we offer a great avenue for young drivers along with pro/am drivers winning both championships in the last few years and also the only team that has been on the outright podium for the last four years.”
“Wall Racing has been consistently running at the front of the championship the last years so naturally they were a team that we contacted for a seat,” said Joey Mawson
“I’m very much looking forward to the year ahead. It’s exciting to be racing back in Australia full time since 2012. Having been away for seven years I’m hoping to take my experience and knowledge that I’ve gained to work hard and achieve some good results. This year may give me a second chance at Europe if successful as well as giving me exposure in the Australia Motorsport scene”.
The 2020 PAYCE Carrera Cup Australia season kicks off at the Adelaide 500 on Thursday.

HONDA AND D’ALBERTO RECOMMIT TO TCR AUSTRALIA SERIES
Feb 13, 2020
Honda Australia and Tony D’Alberto have recommitted to the TCR Australia Series for 2020, following a successful partnership last year that yielded a number of strong results.
D’Alberto took his Wall Racing Honda Civic Type R to second place in the inaugural TCR Australia Series, and with a renewed commitment from Honda Australia, the combination is aiming to go one better this year.
The 34-year-old scored the very first TCR pole position at Sydney Motorsport Park and was a title contender throughout the year, claiming four podiums on his way to second overall in the series behind Will Brown.
D’Alberto will continue in the rapidly growing TCR category as part of a multi-car Wall Racing effort, along with technical support from J.A.S. Motorsport, an official racing partner of Honda globally. The current Civic Type R is one of Honda’s most successful and critically acclaimed models, in both race car and road car form.
On the global racing stage, it was recently named 2019 TCR Model of the Year courtesy of the results achieved by all the TCR-certified Civic Type R race cars in all TCR-sanctioned competitions around the world.
In Australia it is the undisputed performance car king, making history as the only vehicle to win both of MOTOR magazine’s car of the year awards – Performance Car of the Year and Bang For Your Bucks – in the same year, setting a new benchmark by which all future performance cars will be measured.Honda Australia was one of the most active partners of the inaugural TCR Australia Series, using D’Alberto’s Civic Type R TCR car in a number of media and marketing initiatives during the year, including its golden anniversary celebrations to mark 50 years since the company was established locally.D’Alberto will start his claim for the 2020 title with the opening round of the carsales TCR Australia Series at Sydney Motorsport Park on March 27-29.
The race livery of D’Alberto’s 2020 Honda Civic Type R will be revealed closer to the TCR Australia test and series launch day at Winton Raceway on February 26.

Stephen Collins
Director, Honda Australia
“Tony and the team at Wall Racing really showcased what a great performance car we have in the Civic Type R during the first year of the TCR Australia Series,” said Honda Australia Director, Stephen Collins.“They started the year in the best possible way, scoring the first pole position for the new racing category and bookended the season with an epic come-from-behind drive to clinch second place in the championship.
“Throughout the year they provided our staff, dealers, customers and fans with a fantastic opportunity to be part of Honda’s extensive motorsports history, via a market relevant touring car category that connects so strongly to our Civic Type R high-performance road car.“The latest Civic Type R has been an amazing success story for Honda since it was launched in 2017, both on the road and on the racetrack. We’re looking forward to being on board again with Tony and the Wall Racing team for a second season of the TCR Australia Series, especially when they head up to Bathurst for the first time in April.
“The Civic Type R set a benchmark lap time for a front-wheel drive production car around the Mount Panorama circuit at Bathurst last year, so it will be great to see how the performance of the Civic Type R TCR car compares when it takes to the iconic track over Easter weekend.
“Tony has plenty of experience around Bathurst in Supercars and GT Endurance racing, and he was part of our support team during the historic Australian Type R Challenge activity, so the entire team at Honda Australia is really excited see the Civic Type R take on the famous mountain track once again.“We wish Tony and the Wall Racing team all the best for another successful season of racing in TCR.”
Tony D’Alberto
Driver, Wall Racing Honda
“I’m excited to be back with Honda and Wall Racing, and we are all aiming to go one better in 2020,” said Tony D’Alberto.
“We had a really good year last year. It was one of the most enjoyable seasons I’ve ever had as a race car driver. The atmosphere in the TCR paddock is great and the competition was really strong.“It’s fantastic to have Honda’s continued support and involvement with my Civic Type R, Wall Racing and the TCR category as a whole. It was an honour to be a part of their 50th year in Australia in 2019 and to help them celebrate such a significant milestone with their customers, dealers and staff.“There’s no doubt that the level of competition in TCR is going to step up considerably in the second year. Some of the drivers and cars that have been announced already suggests it is going to be a super competitive series, but that’s what motivates us, so we’re up for the challenge.”

David Wall
Owner, Wall Racing
“It’s great to have our three drivers for the season locked in and ready to go,” said David Wall.
“We felt we had a successful first season. We started with two cars, we now have three in the team full-time and we also supply parts and support from the two private Honda teams (Zac Soutar and Michael Clemente).
“It is obviously our aim to win the title this year. We finished second in 2019, and the competition is stepping up, but it’s great that two of our drivers have been retained. We know both Tony and John are capable of getting the job done.
“I’ve been watching Paul’s racing over the past few season, and he does lots of miles in Asia and has been around motorsport for a long time. He did a good job in TCR Asia, and did the Sepang WTCR round last year. He is a welcome addition to the team and will be a good shot within the Pro-Am ranks.
“With JAS, it’s great to have their ongoing support. At certain events, they’ll bring technicians out to Australia, like they did last year, which is an invaluable asset. We are very pleased to have them in our fold.”
John Martin
Driver, Wall Racing Honda
“It’s great to be back with Wall Racing and in the Honda for this season and I am very pleased to welcome Mobil 1 to the team, supporting me for the season,” said John Martin.
”We had some success last year, and some bad luck, and if we can eliminate the bad stuff, then we should be in a good position.”
“If you look at our speed last year, we realistically should be in the top five and challenging for the title. The team wants that and the cars are fast and very capable of that. If we minimise some of the mistakes and misfortune, then there’s no reason why we won’t be contending.”
“There’s a big field of drivers this year. Some well known names and young guys, so I can certainly see the series being even bigger than last year.”

Wall Racing returns to the Bathurst 12 Hour
Dec 9, 2019
Wall Racing returns to the Bathurst 12 hour in 2020 with an unchanged driver line up.
Cameron McConville, Tony D’Alberto, Jules Westwood and Adrian Deitz will return for the 2020 event in the Lamborghini Huracan which has an upgrade from the 2017 spec car to the latest evolution (2019 spec car).
“It’s great to be able to head back to the Mountain with the same driver lineup, everyone has done laps there now, they have a good understanding of the what the car was like, prior to its upgrades, around there, I feel we are in a good position”, said David Wall, Wall Racing.
“Finishing P12 last year and being the first non-factory backed team home was outstanding and now with some more km’s under our belt I feel like we are genuinely on for top 10 or better. We will run in the silver/silver class which is the same class we had success in at the Suzuki 10 hour. It’s an enjoyable race for everyone at Wall Racing, it’s one of the events that we really get to sink our teeth into as it involves everyone in the team, with pit stops”.
“We have a shakedown planned for the car prior to Christmas and then 3 to 4 test days prior to heading to the mountain for the Bathurst 12 hour”.
“Thank you to Adrian Deitz for giving us the opportunity to run his beautiful car again and hopefully we can achieve a strong result for Adrian, the other drivers and the team who have put in a huge amount of work in the upgrade and getting ready once again for the 12 hour.
The Bathurst 12 Hour is from 31 January to 2 February 2020.

WALL RACING SIGNS FAST KIWI FOR HONDA DRIVE AT QUEENSLAND RACEWAY
Jul 31, 2019
Wall Racing has signed New Zealand driver Jordan Michels to drive its third Honda Civic Type R at Round 4 of the carsales TCR Australia Series this weekend.
The 21-year-old will drive the #38 Honda Civic that Jordan Cox drove with great effect at the last round at The Bend Motorsport Park.
Michels, from Invercargill, joins the other two Honda Civics of Tony D’Alberto and The Bend race winner John Martin for the TCR category’s debut at the Ipswich venue.
While this marks Michels’ first race meeting on Australian soil, he is not a TCR rookie. The reigning New Zealand Formula Ford champion raced a Mark Petch-owned Hyundai i30 N in two NZ endurance series races alongside Gene Rollinson.
Round 4 of the carsales TCR Australia Series at Queensland Raceway kicks off with two practice sessions on Friday, followed by qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday and two 30 minutes races on Sunday.

“It’s very exciting. It’s all a bit last minute, but I’m genuinely looking forward to the weekend,” said Michels.
“The amount of hype around the category has been unreal, so to have an opportunity to be on the grid is just amazing.
“I’ve done a couple of races in a Hyundai TCR in New Zealand, so I have a few miles in a TCR car, but they were different circumstances, completely different tyre, so this weekend will still be a steep learning curve.
“The opportunity to be a part of Wall Racing in this category is awesome, so I want to soak it all up, enjoy the experience and see how we go.”
David Wall,
Owner, Wall Racing Honda
“At this stage, it’s just a one-off, but we are keen to see how Jordan goes in our car and the series,” said David Wall.
“He has been racing a TCR car in New Zealand and has been doing well in the endurance series over there.
“We met Jordan at the launch of TCR New Zealand. He had a long discussion with (Wall Racing team manager) David Fyfe and we all felt that he’d be a good addition for our team.
“Our team is looking forward to Queensland Raceway. I feel like that if we can get the car right, the rest will take care of itself. John Martin has a pep in his step after The Bend, Tony D’Alberto has a point to prove and it’s always nice to have some fresh blood in the team.”

JOHN MARTIN TAKES HONDA’S FIRST WIN IN TCR AUSTRALIA
Jul 16, 2019
John Martin became the third different winner from three starts, and scored the first success for Honda, as the TCR Australia Series wrapped at The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia today.
Martin started from fourth and moved forward in the opening laps in his Civic Type R before pouncing on early leader Garth Tander’s Audi RS3 at the halfway point of the final 30-minute contest of the weekend, eventually taking a solid success ahead of Tander and James Moffat in a hastily-repaired Renault Megane.
Martin said he enjoyed his battle with Tander and pounced when he saw an opening.
“When I got the opportunity I just drove it in there. I knew I wouldn’t get the golden opportunity again,” he said.
“Once I got in front I as able to to build a gap and bring it home.”
The carsales TCR Australia Series now heads to Queensland Raceway for the fourth leg of the championship from August 2-4.

INTERNET SENSATION TO MAKE TCR AUSTRALIA DEBUT AT THE BEND
Jun 27, 2019
National-level race ace and global internet sensation Jordan Cox will make his carsales TCR Australia Series debut at The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia next month.
Cox, 26, will drive one of Wall Racing’s newly-arrived Honda Civic Type-R TCR cars in a one-off race deal.
The New South Welshman will join Tony D’Alberto and John Martin in an expanded three-car Honda squad, driving one of the two new Hondas that recently arrived in Australia.
Cox has competed in various cars and classes over the past few years, mainly in production-based machinery.
But it was at Australia’s most famous race track – Mount Panorama – where he became an overnight internet hit, effecting many brave, rarely seen passes across the top of the mountain, driving a Honda Civic.
That YouTube video (below), has been viewed over 2.3 million times.
While he has a lot of experience in front wheel drive race cars, his start in the carsales TCR Australia Series will be his most high-profile motorsport challenge in his short career.
The next round of the carsales TCR Australia Series will be held at The Bend Motorsport Park on July 12-14. CLICK HERE to secure your tickets to the first-ever TCR Australia race in South Australia.

Jordan Cox
Driver, Wall Racing Honda
“I’ve followed TCR car for a few years and it’s a category that I’ve always wanted to do,” said Jordan Cox.
“A lot of my background is front wheel drive racing, so I know a bit about the cars and I’ve always been keen to get into one.
“The Hondas have shown strong pace, but Tony and John have been unlucky and haven’t been able to convert it into race wins with some misfortune and incidents. The cars are very good, so the tides have to turn and there’s no reason why it can’t happen at The Bend.
“I’m going into the round with a very open minded. I’ve got no set goal to win. A realistic result is to finish every race and be in or around the top five. Above all else, I really want to learn. There’s a lot of strong competition, both drivers and teams, so I really want to take as much out of the meeting as I possible can.
“I have to thanks David and all of the Wall Racing team for the opportunity. I tested a Porsche for him recently and I’m really keen to build on that and get some results for them.
“Also have to put a shoutout to my fans and supporters, there has been some hype on my social media pages recently and I’ve received some great messages of support so big thanks to them. Bring it on!”
David Wall
Owner, Wall Racing
“I’ve known Jordan for two or three years and I rate him really highly,” said David Wall.
“He has done a lot of front wheel drive racing, so I feel he is the perfect choice to join our TCR team at Tailem Bend.
“At this stage, it’s just a one-off deal, but we’d love to keep him in the seat and we hope that he can show his true potential.”

WALL RACING SECURES TWO NEW HONDA CIVICS
Jun 4, 2019
TCR Australia front-runners Wall Racing has secured two brand-new Honda Civic Type-R TCR racers for the carsales TCR Australia Series, and they could be here for as early as next weekend’s event at Phillip Island.
The Sydney-based team has ordered two of the speedy Civics that set Sydney alight after Tony D’Alberto took his #50 Type-R to pole position and two podium results.
Since the inaugural first event, Wall Racing has received considerable interest in fielding the cars and has purchased two new vehicles from Honda’s homologation partner JAS Motorsport in Italy.
The cars are currently being airfreighted and if they land in Australia on time, could be raced as early as the Phillip Island event, to be held on June 7-9.
The vehicle acquisitions will double his team’s fleet of Hondas from two to four cars.
If there are any delays, the cars will most certainly make their race debut at the third round at The Bend, South Australia, on July 12-14.
D’Alberto currently sits third in the carsales TCR Australia standings, while the second Honda of John Martin is 10th after a collision with Nathan Morcom’s Hyundai in Race 3 in Sydney dropped him down the order.
QUOTES
David Wall
Owner, Wall Racing Honda
“Doubling the fleet is a lot to undertake in a short period of time, but we are looking forward to the challenge,” said David Wall.
“Thankfully, we ware ready and equipped for the task. We typically run multiple cars in other classes, so we already have most of the infrastructure and personal required to do the job.
“We are comfortable taking on the workload, and we have the right people in place. The major factor ahead of Phillip Island is getting the cars in time and being comfortable to let them go out on track. If everything falls in line like cars arriving and securing the drivers, then there’s no reason why we won’t have all four at the Island. If there are any hurdles, though, we’ll put a pause on it and wait until The Bend.”
Matt Braid
Director, Australian Racing Group
“These are really encouraging signs that our teams are getting such strong interest from new entrants, and we’ve only had one round,” said Matt Braid.
“Honda was the first car brand to support a team in TCR Australia, and after Tony (D’Alberto) was so competitive at Sydney, it was almost obvious that Wall Racing received enough interest to warrant another two Civics in his fleet.
“This is early days, but it’s a great tick of approval for the category and the interest across the board is very strong.”

“The depth of talent in the field is really impressive and the series races at the best tracks and events in Australia, which was a real attraction for me. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and start the season.”
“To be able to have Liam as a part of our team is a welcome addition. I feel that he will hit the ground running come Round One in Adelaide, and we are all looking forward to seeing what he can produce as the season progresses,” said Team Owner, David Wall.
For round one car 27 will be supported by Wash It Australia and we are excited to welcome them to the team also.
Liam has a test day prior to the start of the season, to focus on transitioning from the GT3R Porsche, to the Carrera Cup car. Wall Racing will be doing everything possible to make the transition as smooth and easy as possible and are looking forward to supporting Liam throughout 2019.
Liam’s first taste of the 991-2 will come on Wednesday the 13th at Winton Raceway.

Wall Racing Young Driver Program
Feb 8, 2019
Wall Racing is proud to continue and expand their Young Driver program in 2019.
Throughout 2018, Wall Racing supported promising karter, Ben McMellan, as part of their Young Driver Program. Due to the success of this program, in 2019, the Wall Racing Young Driver Program has been expanded to three young karters. Ben returns for a 2nd season, fresh off a win at the first round of Rotax Pro Tour in Melbourne.
Sydney based karters, Brayden Taylor and Angus Wallace join the expanded program for 2019. David Wall has been following both drivers for some time, and keeping an eye on their racing and growth. Both Brayden and Angus have achieved great results privately, but David believes with the support from Wall Racing, both on and off track, they can take the next step in their motorsport career. Wall Racing will provide the support and guidance to help these 3 drivers progress, and to make the step up from go-karts to cars in the future.

Wall Racing returns to the Bathurst 12 hour
Dec 17, 2018
Wall Racing will return to the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour after a double podium in 2018.
The 2019 event will see Wall Racing run the Lamborghini Huracan which was campaigned successfully by Adrian Deitz and Cameron McConville in the 2018 Australian GT Endurance championship.
They will be joined by Tony D’Alberto, current Australian GT Endurance Champion and Jules Westwood.
Jules Westwood is no stranger to endurance racing having won the Am-Class Blancpain Endurance Championship and achieving class victories at the Spa 24 and Nurburgring in that series. Westwood recently finished 3rd in Porsche Carrera Cup Class at the Dubai 24 hour.
This will be Adrian Deitz’s first time racing at Bathurst having run the Challenge Bathurst in November.
“After driving Bathurst for the first time in November at Challenge Bathurst I was very comfortable in the car and happy with my laps times. I am looking forward to the challenge of racing at Bathurst and competing in my first 12 hour event” said Adrian Deitz.
The entry will race in the Pro /Am class however will be looking for outright results given the strength of the driving combination.
“It’s great to be heading back to the Bathurst 12 Hour, this is always a great event for our team and we are looking to achieve a class podium again in 2019. After finishing the 2018 Australian GT Endurance Championship, the Huracan has been at the Wall Racing workshop, being prepared for the event. We have a very strong driving combination and feel that a strong outright result won’t be out of the question”, said David Wall, Wall Racing Team Owner.
Wall Racing will test early in the new year ahead of the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour on the 31 January to 3 February 2019.

TCR Australia reveals inaugural 2019 calendar
Nov 5, 2018
TCR Australia has confirmed a seven round calendar which sees the new touring car class join the Shannons Nationals bill.
Organisers the Australian Racing Group had earmarked a six to eight round schedule for the new production two litre global touring car category split across the Supercars and Shannons Nationals events, but has opted to focus its maiden season around the latter.
The season will commence at Sydney Motorsport Park from May 17-19 before a visit to Phillip Island in June and the first of two trips to The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia.
Queensland Raceway will host the fourth round in August before visits to Winton and Sandown.
The Bend Motorsport Park will host the finale on November 15-17.
“Releasing the calendar is a great milestone for TCR Australia, and we are very pleased to launch the category alongside the Shannons Nationals events,” said ARG director Matt Braid.
“The seven events at six circuits give us variety at the best permanent circuits in Australia.
“The events give us great flexibility on race formats too, and we look forward to announcing those in the coming weeks.
“TCR Australia is one of the most anticipated new racing categories to land on the Australian motorsport scene in many years. It will be fresh, exciting and action-packed.”
Shannons Nationals director Mike Smith added: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming the TCR Australia Series to the Nationals in 2019.
“There is a genuine excitement about this category coming to Australia and we can’t wait to host what will be a really competitive and accessible category on some of the best tracks in Australia.
“In 2019, our expanded seven round calendar promises to deliver a really diverse range of motor sport, featuring some new categories, like TCR, as well as categories that already have a strong following.
“After significant investment in our media product for the Nationals this year, we’re expecting an even better product to showcase some terrific motor sport, including TCR, in 2019 and beyond.”
TCR Australia is also closing in on a television broadcast package for the series.
“There are still a number of factors to confirm, including the broadcasting of the TCR events, and we are close to locking in all the details of what will be a great debut series for the teams and drivers that commit,” Braid added.

Dave Stevens joins Carrera Cup grid at Bathurst
Sep 25, 2018
Dave Stevens will join the Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia grid for the final two rounds of the 2018 season at Bathurst and Gold Coast events, running in the Tag Heuer Pro-AM class.
Stevens has a wealth of racing experience, having raced a range of cars in the Australian Nations Cup Championship for many years. Whilst most recently Dave has been racing the Ferrari 458 GT3, with Wall Racing, he is no stranger to racing Porches.
He has raced the last three rounds of the Australian GT Trophy Series in a Ferrari 458 GT3 with Wall Racing. He achieved success by winning a race at Sydney Motorsport and finishing the final round at Winton on the podium.
“Dave has been racing well in the Australian GT Trophy Series and we can’t wait to see him race the Porsche around Bathurst, it will be a great addition to the team to have another Porsche on track”, said Wall Racing Team Manager, David Fyfe.
Dave will race with #50 and his 911 GT3 Cup Car will be backed by long time supporters Brennan IT and Superfluid.
The Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia championship hits the track at Bathurst on Thursday for opening practice at 10:45am.

Qualifying 6th for the opening race, Chelsea was able to make up 3 places in Race 1 to come home 3rd.

Starting the final race from 8th, Chelsea got a great start and managed to work her way up to 5th.
Round 4 of the Michelin Porsche GT3 Cup Australia championship is at Queensland Raceway, 27-29 July.
GT Australian Endurance Championship
It was a great recovery for Adrian Deitz and Cameron McConville in the Phillip Island 101, starting in 9th Adrian was turned around on the opening lap and dropped back to last, they recovered to finish the shortened Phillip Island 101 in 8th, on the lead lap.
Overall a very positive weekend with both Adrian and Cameron setting their fastest times ever in the Lamborghini around the Phillip Island circuit.

Australian GT Trophy Series
A solid weekend for Dave Stevens in his first weekend with Wall Racing in the Australian GT Trophy class finishing 5th overall for the round, after finishing 4th in Race 1 and 5th in Race 2.
“Our 2nd meeting with Dave in the Ferrari 458 GT3 and our first in GT Trophy for 2018, last weekend we ran at Wakefield Park and he did a really good job. We came into the Phillip Island round with a good idea of what we would need. Considering the other cars that he was up against including some more recent cars, we were really happy with how he went. We leave with a straight car and look forward to the next round.” David Wall, Team Owner.

Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge Australia – Round 2
May 14, 2018
A strong start to the Sandown weekend for Chelsea Angelo.
Wet and windy conditions during Friday practice didn’t slow Chelsea down, she ended 3rd and 4th in Practice 1 and 2.
Chelsea’s strong performance continued into qualifying, qualifying 4th for Race 1.
A great start in Race 1 allowed Chelsea challenge the leaders and while battling she was able to capitalise and move into 2nd place and finished the opening race in 2nd.
Starting off the front row for Race 2 Chelsea was challenging for the race lead before making contact with the barrier at the entry to turn nine, causing event-ending damage to her 911 GT3 Cup.
“Motorsport can be a bitter sweet sport. It makes you appreciate the highs of motorsport victory but also the lows as a lesson learnt. We all make mistakes, as long as we learn from them, then that’s a positive. Coming out of this weekend for us was a huge step from Tailem Bend”, said Chelsea Angelo.
“On a positive note, our race starts were better. We were consistent in our times all weekend and we were fast out the gate. I honestly cannot thank the boys at Wall Racing enough for all of their hard work and commitment.”
While a tough end to the weekend for Wall Racing there were a lot of positives to take out of the weekend.
“Overall we are very happy with how Chelsea stepped up this weekend with a great performance in both Qualifying and Race 1” said Team Owner, David Wall.
“Race 2 unfortunately while running second Chelsea made contact with the fence at turn 6/7 that put us out for the weekend. She was very unlucky riding the kerb and making contact with the fence.”
“We will regroup take the positives and try and put that into a strong result in the next round!”
Thanks to PAYCE, Wilson Security, Grove Hire and OX Wheels for their ongoing support.
The Race 2 DNF and non-start in Race 3 drops Chelsea to 7th in the Championship Standings.

Double Duties for David Wall at Muscle Car Masters
May 2, 2018
David Wall and Wall Racing will return to Sydney Motorsport Park for the 2018 Muscle Car Masters.
David Wall will be on double duties over the weekend competing in Historic Touring Cars (NC) in the Bob Jane Monaro and also racing in the Trans Am class in his late fathers #38 Chev Corvette Trans Am.
Unfortunately this year Wall Racing will not be running the Geoghegan Mustang at the event.

“It’s going to be great to get back into my Dad’s Chev Corvette Trans Am, last time I drove the car (which was the first time I drove it) was at Sandown in 2016 when we attempted to win the Des Wall Memorial Trophy, but unfortunately we finished 2nd,” said David Wall
“It’s time to have a go again at our local track, Sydney Motorsport Park. Which is also a track that Dad always said the car was really good at. We have a good base knowledge of what we need there and looking forward to the weekend.”
“The car is an unbelievably fast car and does things that you would love other race cars to do.”
“Hopefully we can be competitive and all goes according to plan and we have a good weekend, either way I’ll have a smile on my face getting around in my Dad’s car.”
Thanks to PAYCE, Wilson Security, Shannons and for making the weekend possible.
The 2018 Muscle Car Masters will be run at Sydney Motorsport Park over the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend, June 9-10.

Walleee’s words on The Bend Motorsport Park
May 1, 2018
Round 1: GT3 Cup Challenge & Australian GT Endurance Championship
Australian GT Endurance Championship
It was great to have Adrian Deitz and Cameron McConville join Wall Racing for the Australian GT Endurance Championship in Adrian’s Lamborghini Huracan.
We didn’t have a lot of time with the car prior to the event, but we were able to complete the majority of things that we wanted to do before heading over to Tailem Bend for the test day and race meeting.
The first event at The Bend Motorsport Park also threw up tricky conditions with rain during the 60 minute practice session and high wind causing the race to be rescheduled to Sunday morning, and taking place on the 4.95km International layout.
Qualifying was run across two sessions with the average time across both sessions determining grid positions. Adrian and Cameron qualified 13th.
As the weekend progressed it just got better and we ended up 8th in the race, with the 2nd fastest lap time. We were all reasonably happy with the result considering the limited time we had with the car.
We now have time to reset and make some further improvements to the car before round 2 at Phillip Island.

GT3 Cup Challenge
Chelsea Angelo’s first weekend in my car from last year, she did a very good job, she had completed a number of test days beforehand and we felt that she was going to be there or thereabouts. We ended up leaving the weekend 5th, a couple of spots shy of what we were hoping for, we would have really liked a podium, but it was a brand new track and a lot to take in. Hopefully at our next round at Sandown it will all feel a lot more at home for Chelsea and she can hit the ground running at a track that she knows well, being from Melbourne and having raced in plenty of races at Sandown previously.
Good start to the year, good solid points and the car is nice and straight and we are looking forward to round 2.
And lastly Adrian Langkeek, competing in his first ever race meeting. Adrian is a lovely bloke and it makes you feel humbled when you see someone enjoy himself so much as he did at his first ever race meeting. He achieved his objectives for the weekend which was to go there and improve his times and get his first licence tick which he did, the car is straight as an arrow and he did a great job, learnt a lot and took a lot in and he is already looking forward to his next meeting which will be at Phillip Island later in the year when he joins GT3 Cup Challenge again.

From the Road to Race Track for Adrian Lengkeek
Apr 9, 2018
Adrian Lengkeek is set to make his racing debut with Wall Racing this weekend at The Bend Motorsport Park.
Adrian will be racing in the GT3 Cup Challenge series in Class B in a 2011 GT3 Cup.
Having only previously completed track days, with the support of Wall Racing Adrian has now made the decision to step up and make his racing debut.
“It’s an understatement to stay that I am excited, I am very much looking forward to the weekend,” said Lengkeek

“I am not nervous, more excited! Being part of the Wall Racing Team I have gone to a few meetings this year and got the drill of what happens. I am sure the nerves will kick when I am on the grid for my first race”
“My aim for the weekend is to finish all the races with good clean racing”.
“It’s exciting that we get to race on track that know one has ever raced, a great place to start, no one has any expectations.”
“Paul Newman didn’t start racing until he was in this 50’s, so it’s never too late to start something and he inspired me and I hope to get enjoyment out it for many years.

“It will be great to have team mate on track this weekend with Chelsea running in Class A.”
Practice starts this Friday at the brand new The Bend Motorsport Park.

Adrian Deitz and Cameron McConville to join Australian GT Grid
Apr 5, 2018
Wall Racing will field a Lamborghini Huracan for Adrian Deitz and co-driver Cameron McConville in the Australian Endurance Championship and the Sydney Motorsport Park round of the Australian GT Championship.
“It’s great to have Adrian and Cameron join the team for the Endurance Championship this year,” said Wall Racing Team Owner, David Wall
“Cameron needs no introduction, he is a very experienced and accomplished driver and Adrian drove the car in the 2017 championship so both should feel comfortable from practice one at The Bend.”
“It is great for Wall Racing to welcome another customer to the business and also return to the Australian GT Championship, having had previously had success in the championship with Greg Taylor and Richard Gartner in previous seasons.”
The 2018 Australian GT Endurance Championship will be contested over three rounds, the first of which will be held as part of The Bend Motorsport Park’s first motor racing event 14-15 April, followed by Phillip Island 101 2-3 June and the final round at Hampton Downs 13-14 October.
At The Bend round Wall Racing is also running two GT3 Cup Challenge cars, with Chelsea Angelo and Adrian Lengkeek making his race debut in Class B.

Wall Racing Team

Wall Racing expands in 2018
Jan 30, 2018
Wall Racing will expand to field three Porsche 991 GT3 Cup cars in the 2018 Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia series.
Reigning 2017 Australian Carrera Cup Champion David Wall returns to defend his championship and will be joined by James Moffat, who needs no introduction to Motorsport or to Porsches finishing 3rd in the 2008 Australian Carrera Cup Championship.
Wall Racing is also pleased to welcome Greg Taylor back to the team. Greg won the GT Trophy championship with the team back in 2015.
Wall Racing’s Team Manager, David Fyfe, believes that 2018 will be an exciting year at Wall Racing with the expansion to three cars.
“To be able to take the next step with the team and expand Wall Racing further is exciting,” said Fyfe.
“It’s great to have Greg back with the team and with James joining the team it is going to be a fantastic year. We all have high expectations for the season. We are looking forward to taking delivery of the cars and to test in preparation for season opener at the Adelaide 500,” said Fyfe.
Defending series champion David Wall’s #1 Porsche will be supported by Wilson Security, PAYCE, Shannons, JBA Carpet Court and Feltex.
“2017 was an amazing year to come home with the championship, equal pole positions, race wins and everything else that went with that made it a year to remember. After a strong showing in 2016 it was really everything that we set out to achieve. Coming back in 2018 with the brand new car, which is obviously something that we all look forward to as race drivers, to have a brand new car that no one else has driven before you is a special thing. Looking forward to the first run in the new 991 and to have James Moffatt and Greg Taylor on board as team mates is going to be a fantastic addition to Wall Racing and I can’t wait to get going,” said David Wall

Greg Taylor’s car supported by Arris Property Group and Strong Build
“David Wall and I first met at The Farm at a Charity Drive Day and since then have been good friends. I was able to start my racing career in a Porsche with Wall Racing so it’s great to come back to where it all started, after previous success with the team. I am looking forward to the season in the brand new 991 GT3 Cup car and working with a great group of people at Wall Racing. I am also very pleased to be supported by Strongbuild for the season,” said Greg Taylor.

James Moffat’s #18 car supported by JBL, PAYCE and Wilson Security.
“It’s great to finally confirm that I’ll be racing with Wall Racing in the 2018 Carrera Cup Championship. Last year with David they proved they are more than capable of competing for not only race wins but also Championship’s, so it exciting to be joining the team. It’s been 10 years since I last raced in Carrera Cup, so I’m eager to get out on there and experience the cars again and see what we can achieve on track throughout the year,” said James Moffat
“None of this would have been possible without the great support of Wilson, PAYCE, JBL, Swann and Wall Racing. The start of the season on the streets of Adelaide can’t come soon enough.”

Along with fielding three cars in 2018 Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia series Wall Racing has also returned to the GT3 Cup Challenge series with Chelsea Angelo. Running four Porsches is an exciting prospect for Wall Racing and provides opportunities to build a driver development pathway in the future.
The 2018 Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia season kicks off at the Adelaide 500 on March 01-04.
Angelo’s season gets underway at The Bend Motorsport Park, with her debut outing in the GT3 Cup Challenge in April.

Chelsea Angelo to join Wall Racing
Jan 17, 2018
Chelsea Angelo will be joining Wall Racing for the 2018 Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge Australia, competing in the 2017 Australian Carrera Cup championship winning car, previously driven by David Wall.
With a strong field of 991 GT3 Cup cars the series is fast becoming a great stepping-stone and breeding ground for up-and-coming racers. This is an exciting time for Chelsea and for Wall Racing to expand into the series and build a driver developmental pathway.
Chelsea’s GT3 Cup car will be presented by PAYCE, Wilson Security, Grove Hire and OX Wheels.
As one of the leading female drivers in the country PAYCE and Wilson Security are very proud to be supporting Chelsea along with Grove Hire, who are also long time supporters of the White Ribbon Foundation.
Chelsea completed a test day at the end of last year with Wall Racing at Wakefield Park and prior to that at Sydney Motorsport Park. During testing at Wakefield Park she drove the championship winning car and was very impressive.
“It is great to be able to get a deal together for Chelsea to join Wall Racing and run her in GT3 Cup Challenge Championship,” said David Fyfe, Team Manager, Wall Racing.
Chelsea has a background in Formula Ford, Formula 3, Open Wheel classes overseas and has competed in a number Dunlop Super2 Series races.
“Chelsea has been given a fantastic opportunity to race a full season and to show everyone what she can do. Heading into the 2018 season we are confident of a very strong showing from Chelsea and for her to be a consistent front runner and in contention for the title at the end of the year,” said Fyfe.
“It’s great to be racing with Wall Racing this year in the Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge Series. I am really looking forward to racing the series in a championship winning car. I would like to thank PAYCE, Wilson Security, Grove Hire and OX Wheels for all of their assistance and support. I can’t wait for the season to start and to get back on track,” said Chelsea Angelo.
Porsche Michelin GT3 Cup Challenge Australia will race as part of the Shannons Nationals Series in 2018. The season kicks off at The Bend Motorsport Park on 13-15 April.

Wall Racing confirms Bathurst 12 Hour line-up
Jan 11, 2018
As previously announced Wall Racing will prepare and run the Richard Gartner Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 that finished 3rd in last years Australian GT Trophy Series, along with claiming the pole position award.
Richard Gartner will be joined by John Bowe, David Wall and Hadrian Morrall.
Richard upgraded to the Lamborghini from a Porsche GT3 Cup Car that he raced in previous Bathurst 12 Hours, finishing fourth in class in 2017 and second in class in 2016.
John Bowe has a tremendous amount of motor racing experience, having recently announced that he will be inducted into the Australia Motor Sport Hall of Fame in March.
David Wall current Australian Carrera Cup Champion and Class B winner from the last years event brings extensive Bathurst miles to the squad along with Hadrian Morrall who also claimed a class podium in the 2017 event and previously raced the Bathurst 6 Hour.
“The plan is to go there and stay out of trouble, the car should be well suited to the Bathurst track and all going to plan we will have a strong result in the AM class” said David Fyfe, Wall Racing.
The Lamborghini will be supported by Safe-T-Stop, Wilson Security and PB Packaging.
Joining the Wall Racing team for 2018 is the Porsche 991 Class B car driven by Charles Putman, Charles Espenlaub and Joe Foster
Fresh from a class victory at 24 Hour at The Circuit of Americas and finishing 6th outright. They will be a very strong chance for Class B victory, having all raced in the 2017 Bathurst 12 Hour in GT4 class and they are all very accustomed to driving the 911 Porsche.
“We are hopeful for a good showing for both cars and as always we are looking forward to the Bathurst 12 Hour, it’s a great for the drivers but also for the crew, giving them the opportunity to use strategy and everything else that goes into a long distance race,” said David Fyfe, Wall Racing.
The 2018 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour takes place on February 2-4, to keep update with our the latest news in the lead-up and during the Bathurst 12 Hour head to www.wallracing.com.au

Round 5 GT Trophy Series – Wakefield Park
Dec 8, 2017
Final round of the GT Trophy series at Wakefield Park with Richard Gartner in the Safe-T-Stop Lamborghini.
Richard did a fantastic job to go from practice sessions at the Challenge Bathurst event, in preparation for the Bathurst 12 hour in 2018, straight to Wakefield Park.
The crew transported the car from Bathurst to Wakefield Park. Richard did a great to job to hit the ground running in practice. He was fast on some very old tyres in practice, with many others using far better tyres.
Come qualifying that paid off and Richard qualified on pole for the first qualifying session in changeable conditions, on a track drying. He then backed that up in the second qualifying session breaking the lap record (by a long way) to claim another pole position.
As the GT cars haven’t been to Wakefield Park for a number of years that was fantastic outcome on the home track for Richard having done plenty of laps there in the past, but not so much in the Lamborghini only having one test day under his belt.
It was a fantastic start to the weekend and the crew did a great job to turn the car around in the short time frame from Bathurst.
Come race day two back-to-back 1 hour races, which is along way around Wakefield Park, 45 to 48 laps. Richard was positive heading into the first race and he slightly missed the start and dropped to second where he ran until the first pit stop, with the shorter pit stop time Richard was able to come out in the lead and was going well. Steven McLaughlan was slowly closing in and unfortunately passed Richard at the fish hook and he finished 2nd in Race 1.
Going into Race 2, Richard was 2nd off the line and came out side by side with the leader, Steve McLaughlan, after the pit stop he really gave him a run for his money and finished closely behind in 2nd. If a few things had gone Richard’s way in that race he would have been in contention for the race win.
Second for the weekend and third overall for the Australian GT Trophy Championship, a great outcome considering it was Richard’s first year with the Lamborghini and for Wall Racing running the car. Overall a very solid year, Richard did a very good and once again the crew did a great job preparing the car with no mechanical DNF’s for the season. Strong showing and now we get ready for the Bathurst 12 hour in February 2018.

Carrera Cup: Gold Coast 2017 – Weekend Wrap
Nov 20, 2017
Catch up with the weekend’s action as the 2017 Carrera Cup Australia champions were crowned after a fitting finale on the streets of the Gold Coast.

Walleee’s words on Gold Coast & 2017 Championship
Oct 25, 2017
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 7 – Gold Coast
We knew heading into the final round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship that we had a very strong possibility of doing well but we needed to make sure that we ticked all the boxes over the weekend.
After practice we were reasonably happy with the car, we ended up finishing practice 2 quickest. I found it difficult running between the two cars (Porsche and Nissan), especially bouncing over all the kerbs going from a soft car in the Supercar back to the Porsche which is much stiffer overall.
In qualifying I didn’t really maximise what I had in the car and didn’t do a good enough job. The car wasn’t too bad, not as good as practice but not too bad with the changing track conditions and we ended up 5th. No where near where we should have been.
I was very keen to get into race 1 to make amends after qualifying, but it ended up raining a lot and it was the first time we had to run on the new Michelin wet tyres. We were able to gain some information from a friend overseas who has run on the tyre before so we had an idea of what to expect and it worked out perfectly as we went from 5th to 2nd, we were later delegated back to 3rd after a penalty for cutting one of the chicanes. Still happy and we gained a lot of points for the first race of the weekend.
Race 2 was the final race of the endurance championship and everything was going well, I was 3rd but didn’t really have the pace of 2nd but was satisfied to finish there and that would have put us in a very commanding position heading into race 3, then unfortunately we got held up by a slow car with 2 laps to go and ended up losing 2 spots which all of sudden closed the gap for the last race. I was very frustrated, but in saying that we managed to stay positive and went into the 3rd race with the goal to finish 7th or better to give us the title and we finished 5th.
Never been so happy to finish 5th in my life, to seal the championship that we have put some much into, for myself we tried every avenue to further my driving and I feel like I am driving well and we really maximised everything out of the car. Everyone at Wall Racing has done an incredible job to come away with the victory, equal most pole positions, the most wins we have had in a season, the most podiums in a season and to finish in the top 6 or better in every race with no DNFs and no mechanical problems throughout the year is an absolute credit to everyone involved and I couldn’t be happier as driver but especially as the Team Owner. You set yourself goals to be the best and we are the best.
To be able to come away with such a fantastic results is such a massive reward. For everyone that has made it possible, people like Wilson Security, PAYCE, Shannons who enable us to go racing and have done so for a number of years and have been involved in my career for such a long time it is just so nice to be able to reward them back and see them when looking down from the podium, all the familiar faces there so genuinely happy that we have done well is the icing on the cake for what anyone could want for a championship.
To then receive the news later on that Wilson Security will joining the series in 2018 and sponsoring the Carrera Cup championship, with the new era car coming in and a full grid that is already over subscribed is great, to have them involved in the series itself and moving forward is the perfect scenario all round.
Massive thanks to everyone, including our other sponsors C-Coconut Water, Porsche Centre Sydney South and everyone involved who enables us to do what we love to do this is just a pat on the back for everyone. We will be celebrating over Christmas before we get ready for the new year and really enjoy such a fantastic championship year, they don’t come around often it’s been 7 years since my last championship win and 8 years since my first. We will be celebrating for sure and making sure that everyone is well rested for another year.

Wilson Group to headline 2018 Porsche championship
Oct 24, 2017
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia (PCCA) has secured a landmark Title Partnership with long term motorsport supporter Wilson Security, further bolstering the 2018 Championship which will have its largest field since its inception in 2003.
The Title Partnership, commencing at the start of the 2018 season, provides Wilson Security with deep brand integration across the entire championship, including series logo, car signage, podium and media backdrops, television graphics and digital and social media rights.
In addition, Wilson Security will have naming rights to the Porsche Drivers Lounge, as well as the end of season Awards Dinner.
The Wilson Group’s new alignment with Porsche also provides the Australian based organisation with a strategic platform to connect with its key customers through Porsche’s exclusive drive and customer experiences extending the partnership well beyond the race rack.
“This is a significant alignment between two strong brands in Wilson Security and Porsche. We’re thrilled to announce this partnership and we’re excited by the vast opportunities this presents in 2018,” said Group Chief Executive Officer of Wilson Group, John McMellan.
“Wilson Security has been involved with Porsche Carrera Cup through various driver partnerships, including new Carrera Cup champion David Wall. We’re looking forward to building on this with a wider series and brand involvement for what will be a tremendous season on and off the track.”
The partnership coincides with Carrera Cup’s introduction of the new 911 GT3 Cup car for the 2018 season, the initial allocation of which has already sold out, ensuring strong participation for the coming season.
“Porsche is thrilled to have Wilson Security on board as the Carrera Cup title partner for 2018. The timing of Wilson Security joining the Porsche family couldn’t be better as we conclude the 2017 season and look forward to a fully subscribed grid in 2018,” said Porsche Cars Australia Director of Marketing & Motorsport, Toni Andreevski.
“Porsche is in the unique position to offer Wilson Security not only a strong motor racing platform in Carrera Cup but also exclusive additional opportunities through bespoke customer experiences that only come with a strategic alignment. We look forward to this exciting new partnership and working with Wilson Security throughout 2018.”
The 2018 Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia championship will debut on track on January 24 at Sydney Motorsport Park at the official hand-over of the new 911 GT3 Cup race cars to teams.

David Wall seals 2017 Porsche Australia Carrera Cup Title
Oct 24, 2017
DAVID WALL has emotionally claimed his maiden Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship, holding on to win the title over Andre Heimgartner on the streets of Surfers Paradise today.
Meanwhile, Jaxon Evans powered to his second overall victory of the 2017 season thanks to victories in two of the three races, and Dean Cook scored his maiden win in the TAG Heuer Carrera Challenge class.
Wall’s title victory came after two tension-filled races for the 34-year-old Sydney driver, after he was shuffled from third to fifth in quick succession in the final enduro cup race on Sunday morning.
He had held third for a majority of the race however furious racing in the closing laps saw him lose two positions and see his title lead diminish further.
Heimgartner powered to an impressive victory in the 28-lap affair, narrowing the margin to just 32 points heading into the final race.
Wall then maintained fifth place throughout the 12-lap finale, needing to finish seventh or better to claim the crown should Heimgartner win.
However, the Sonic Motor Racing driver was slow away from the line and could ultimately only manage third place, behind race winner Jaxon Evans and Alex Davison.
It ensured Wall sealed the title by 20 points; the closest margin in Carrera Cup Australia championship history.
An emotional Wall dedicated the title to his late father, notable Australia national racing champion Des.
“It’s emotional for a lot of different reasons. I lost my father five years ago and I’ve been looking for something to dedicate to him, so this is all his. If he was here I’m sure he’d be pumped,” Wall said.
“It’s been a lot of years trying and a lot of water has passed under the bridge. It’s unbelievable and I’m very thankful the opportunity I’ve been given. Thanks to Wilson Security, Payce and Shannons who enable us to turn up every weekend.
“We’ve had a few things chucked at us this weekend – both good and bad – so it’s great to be standing here as champion for the year.”
Evans’ stunning round victory came thanks to victories in two of the three races this weekend, with his win in race three coming thanks to a sensational start from the front row of the grid.
He then pulled away from Davison and Heimgartner to record his fifth race win and second round win of the year. It also delivered McElrea Racing their third straight win on the Gold Coast.
“It’s an amazing feeling to come here for my first time on the streets of the Gold Coast and to get two wins – it’s pretty special,” Evans said.
“It’s capped off a pretty big learning year but I can’t wait to come back next year.”
Heimgartner finished second overall in both the round and championship, and his stunning victory in the Enduro Cup race ensured the title would go down to the wire. Davison charged to the final step of the podium despite having finished race one in a lowly 10th position.
The former Carrera Cup champion also sensationally clinched the inaugural Carrera Cup Enduro title by the narrowest of margins.
Working his way from 10th on the grid, Davison edged out Michael Almond by just 0.02s for third place in the 28-lap encounter, enough to see him tie Heimgartner in the Enduro Cup standings.
With the title determined on countback based on the winner of the first enduro cup race at Sandown, Davison scored the winner despite both sharing a first, second and third in each of the three races.
In the TAG Heuer Carrera Challenge, Dean Cook found himself winning the round after early rivals Stephen Grove and Max Twigg were both removed contention after a clash on the opening lap of the Enduro Cup race.
Cook then beat home Marc Cini and Sam Shahin to win that race and backed up that performance to win the final race later in the day.
“It feels good! We’ve been trying all year to get on the podium and we’ve been on the lower levels a couple of times. I was just trying to keep it all straight and on track for the entire weekend.”
Stephen Grove was officially crowned TAG Heuer Carrera Challenge winner, securing his second title despite not finishing the final two races of the year.
Marc Cini finished second overall while Sam Shahin climbed to third in class at the end of the season.
Cini also clinched the Carrera Challenge enduro cup, his first major title in the series. The Porsche Centre Melbourne racer overhauled early leader Stephen Grove this weekend, with Graham Williams second and Grove third..

Walleee’s words on Bathurst
Oct 17, 2017
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 6 – Bathurst
We started off the weekend well topping the only practice session of the weekend and then straight into qualifying the next day was even better to come out with pole position, our 3rd for year.
We won the start of Race 1 and managed to go onto win the race after a battle with Alex Davison at the end, so very happy with the way the weekend had started.
Come Saturday track conditions were very different and we didn’t quite have the balance and the set up that we had for race 1, but we managed to come home in 2nd, once again battling with Alex at the end of the race. Heimgartner ended up winning the race.
Overall still satisfied at this point. We went into the last race trying to get our car balance back and the car was actually much better then race 2, but not as nice as race 1. We managed 3rd in race 3 having already used out best tyres for the weekend.
To come away with 2nd overall for the weekend, a pole, race win, 2nd and 3rd is very satisfied and very proud of everyone at Wall Racing and also very happy for all our sponsors on the car PAYCE, Wilson Security, Shannons, without them we wouldn’t even have the opportunity to be racing.
Bring on the last round! I am pumped already nothing the like the streets of the Gold Coast.

Walleee’s words on Sandown

Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 5 – Sandown
Not our strongest round for the year but by all means not our worst, we didn’t quite get on top of the car early enough and it snow balled into the weekend. We did manage to keep chipping away and get some much needed points.
Unfortunately we were held up in qualifying, we should have been in the front 2 or 3 positions and that really put us behind for the weekend.
We managed to get from 7th in the first race to 4th and then another 4th and 6th in the final race and salvaged points from a qualifying that we got held up in.
By no means was it our worse round for the year and it was good to maintain our points lead after such a strong showing in Malaysia. Now we head to the Bathurst 1000.

Round 4 GT Trophy Series – Phillip Island
Oct 17, 2017
To head down to Phillip Island was a very big step for Richard, to take such a fast car like the Lamborghini to the island having only previously driven GT3 Cup car early evolution there, so to go from that to the all-mighty Lamborghini was a big step.
Richard completed a test day at Phillip Island 2 weeks prior to the event which really enabled him to hit the ground running and he learnt a lot on the day in the dry conditions.
Then come the race meeting unfortunately it was raining. Richard had a few things not go his way during the weekend so unfortunately it didn’t go to plan like it has in recent rounds especially Queensland Raceway where he was able to take victory in both races.
He still managed to salvage some points for the weekend but not what we were looking for. There is one round to go in the GT Trophy series at Wakefield Park, Richard is still just in contention for the championship but more then likely on track for 2nd or 3rd in the championship if we can have a good showing at our home event.
Richard should be able to hit the ground running at Wakefield Park and bring home the bacon for everyone at Wall Racing and Safe-T-Stop Lamborghini.

Walleee’s words on the Lakeside Classic 2017
Aug 17, 2017
One of the biggest Historic meetings that is held in South East Queensland and possibly one of the biggest events in the country. It was great to be part of Lakeside Classic in the Geoghegan Mustang and Bob Jane Monaro.
To be able to take the cars up there and show them off on the 50th anniversary for the Mustang especially since 1967 when Pete won his first Australian title at Lakeside. To race the car for that weekend on that anniversary was very special and then to top it off with pole position and winning all the races was the icing on the cake.
JB did a great job in the Monaro he was able to slowly chip away with the car over the weekend, he wasn’t happy with the car to start with but the boys did a great job to tune it up for him over the weekend and to be on the front row together for the last race was very cool for us and obviously very good the cars owner.
Great to be apart of the weekend and good to see all the familiar faces up there and have a lot of people come up and recognise the cars and show their appreciation of having them there was very cool.
The atmosphere of the event itself was great, to go to an iconic track like that which has held a huge amount of touring car races over the year was very enjoyable. To see the families on the side of the track in their cars watching the event go on it was very good.
A big thank you to PAYCE for their ongoing support.

Round 3 GT Trophy Series – Queensland Raceway
Aug 17, 2017
Richard Gartner did a fantastic job at Queensland Raceway in the Safe-T-Stop Lamborghini LMP560. He had a perfect weekend with with two pole positions and two race wins.
It was an exceptional job by Richard, he really took in what he needed to take in on over the weekend and the team was able to tune the car in for him very quickly. To come away from the weekend with the maximum amount of points and to go from 7th in the overall standings to 3rd was a mega effort by Richard and the Wall Racing team.
Richard will be testing the car at Phillip Island before the next round so hopefully this will enable the team to hit the ground running at the next round at Phillip Island on 8-10 September.
Thank you to Safe-T-Stop for their continued support.

Walleee’s words on Malaysia
Jul 28, 2017
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 5 – Malaysia
Just speechless with how our round went. To go there and top every session, get back to back poles and then win both races, which were effectively a points and half type of races being 2 races instead of our normal 3 races across the weekend, it was just amazing.
I haven’t been to Malaysia for 7 years, having raced at the track 4 times previously in 12 hour races. I was hoping my experience at the track was going to be a good thing on our side, that said a number of others had also been there before.
To go there and have such a successful weekend was great for everyone not only our sponsors but also for the team. The moral was very high at the end of the weekend as it deserved to be, everyone has put in a huge amount of work and we are continuing to work hard and put our heads down and hopefully we can have similar results, or maybe not quite the same results as those weekends are very rare but to keep our heads down and if we can continue to get podiums between now and the end of the year that would be incredible. A win or more then that would be bonus on top of what we already have achieved.
A big thank you to everyone at Wall Racing they have put in an incredible amount of work, also to Wilson Security, PAYCE and Shannons without their support we wouldn’t be doing anything and its just great to have a successful weekend and it makes the long journey and the huge amount of work that went into taking our whole team to another country worthwhile, thanks to everyone!
See you at the next round in September at Sandown.

Walleee’s words on Darwin
Jun 20, 2017
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 4 – Darwin
Overall very happy with the weekend, we were hoping to have another strong round in Darwin, but didn’t really know what to expect heading up there again after being there for the first time last year.
Darwin is place I enjoy going to, last year the Darwin round was a turning point for us, finding a set up that I was comfortable with in the new 911. It was nice to head back to a track that we had been to before and knew what we wanted out of the car.
We topped practice and then we backed it up with a pole position in qualifying, which was awesome. Unfortunately in Race 1 I had a clutch issue on the line which put us back a couple of spots, we diced with Jaxon Evans and Alex Davison for most of the weekend and Andre Heimgartner in the last race.
It was great to walk away from the weekend with a heap of points, unfortunately we didn’t convert it to a race win but we did have a 2nd and two 3rd positions which gave us 3rd for the weekend and a nice straight car especially with the short turnaround to head to Malaysia, the first international round for Carrera Cup Australia. I am looking forward to heading back to Malaysia, having raced there before and another strong race weekend to continue to gain more championship points.
A big thank you to everyone who makes as it possible as always Wilson Security, PAYCE and Shannons.

Round 2 GT Trophy Series – Winton Motor Raceway
Jun 20, 2017
Richard Gartner was back aboard the Lamborghini Gallardo at Winton Motor Raceway for Round 2 of the GT Trophy series.
Richard did a fantastic job across the weekend, he hadn’t raced at Winton for over 20 years and never driven a fast GT car around the track.
Over the weekend he progressed quickly from the first session to the last race. Every time Richard was in the car he was quicker and started to achieve what we were looking for from the car.
Richard maximised everything that he had, the track appeared to be more an Audi track then a Lamborghini track, so to come away with a heap of points and progress a long way up the championship ladder after a tough round 1. He is now very close to 6th position in the championship.
Richard is doing a great job, he was first Lamborghini home and the car is nice and straight so we can concentrate on getting the car ready for Round 3 at Queensland Raceway, which hopefully will be a Lamborghini track and see what we can produce there.

Walleee’s words on Phillip Island
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 3
Round 3 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Championship at Phillip Island was a fantastic round for us. Shane Smollen joined team for the weekend as our Am for the Pro Am event.
We both chipped away in practice and came up with a happy medium in the car to make sure we were both comfortable and had a very good race car, which is what we concentrated on, even the week prior at the test this was our focus.
Qualifying and we both weren’t happy with car but knew that we had a good race car to fall back on which proved to be the case, we started Race 1 in 6th and finished in 2nd, then started 2nd and finished 4th in Race 2, with a crazy wet/dry race that had everything!
We ended up the round winner, which helps in my personal championship campaign.
Shane played a massive part in the result, he did a very good job and I couldn’t have asked for anymore from him, he fitted in the team really well, like he did 5 or 6 years ago when he raced with us at the 12 hour.
All positives to take out of the round and now have a short turnaround before heading to Darwin in a few weeks.
Massive thank you as always to all our sponsors, Wilson Security, PAYCE, Shannons and C Coconut Water, without them we couldn’t do what we do let alone sitting 2nd and 10 points of the championship lead in the Australian Carrera Cup Championship.

Shane Smollen joins Wall Racing for Pro-Am
Apr 27, 2017
Shane Smollen will join Wall Racing partnering with David Wall for Round 3 of the Australian Carrera Cup Championship for the ProAm event at Phillip Island.
Shane needs no introduction for what he has achieved in Porsches, being one of the front runners in the Elite class for a number of seasons now.
“With Shane’s previous experience in Elite Class it is a massive plus to have him join Wall Racing”, said David Wall.
“We are really happy to have Shane onboard, he is going to be an asset to our team for the weekend and hopefully we can get a great result and gain plenty of championship points”.
Shane has been out of a car this season so far but will join Wall Racing for an upcoming test day at Phillip Island, to get him up to speed and back in the groove. David Wall will also test on the day as it has been a few years since David has raced a Porsche around the Phillip Island circuit.
Round 3 of the Australian Carrera Cup Championship will be held at Phillip Island on 26 – 28 May.

Walleee’s words on the Bathurst 6 Hour
Apr 27, 2017
Unfortunately the Bathurst 6 Hour didn’t go to plan for us. Alan East (the car’s owner) was very happy with the progress and work that had been undertaken on the Evo 9.
The car was 3.5 seconds quicker then it has ever been up there, all the work that we did worked a treat and for a 10 year old car to be up where it was is a great achievement. We topped a couple of sessions, it was weather dependent and during the cooler sessions the car made more power, but it was a nicer package overall.
The race was settling in well and everything was going according to plan then unfortunately while JB was in the car the rear diff failed and put us out of the event. It separated the housing from the back of the car which is unfortunate considering it was all new before the event, just one of those things.
Hopefully we can go back next year and have a go again. It was going to be a very strong weekend and it started out that way but didn’t end that way packing up early and watching the end of the race instead of participating, which is never ideal.
A massive thanks to Alan East for putting in the effort as he always does and supplying the car to make it all possible. Also a great job by Wall Racing up there for the weekend, overall I was very happy with everything that the team did. We were also running Paul Tresidder in the Production Sport Race. Paul did a great job with a new PB and chipped away over the weekend, the car ran really well and most importantly he was extremely happy with his weekend, what he had achieved and the amount of fun he had.
All in all not a bad weekend but unfortunately we didn’t get to finish it off as planned.

Wall Racing returns to the Bathurst 6 Hour
Apr 12, 2017
Last year was a very good weekend for the Alan East Motorsport/Wall Racing Evo at the Bathurst 6 Hour, not having the outright speed of the current cars, such as the Mercedes and BMW. The Evo was reliable and was a great racecar over the 6 hour race, finishing in 3rd overall and 1st in A1 (All Wheel Drive) Class.
With David Wall and John Bowe driving the team exceeded their expectations and mostly importantly had a lot of laughs and fun over the weekend.
Alan was very keen to compete in the 6 hour again in 2017. This year Wall Racing have rebuilt the engine. After competing in 4 x 12 hours races, a 6 Hour race plus a number of practice days it was well and truly overdue.
Heading into the 6 Hour this year Wall Racing have had more time to prepare the Evo and make a few changes to the car.
John Bowe and David Wall will be driving the Evo 9 again this year.
“We are going there to do well, after finishing 3rd last year we are looking at going a few more steps up the podium,” said David Wall.
“With a number of new cars in the race this year including the BMW and RS Focus as well all the Evo’s, competitors from last year and the other 65 entries the competition is going to tough, but we are looking forward to the challenge in the Evo 9 GSR”.
“Hopefully we can get Alan a great result that is well deserved for all the effort that he has put into the car over the years and to East Caravan Park for getting behind use again for the 6 Hour event”.
Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour on the Easter long weekend (April 14-16).

Gartner to debut Lamborghini in GT Trophy Series at Sandown
Apr 3, 2017
Richard Gartner has stepped up from his 2007 Cup Car to a 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 600 for the 2017 GT Trophy series.
Richard ran the Cup Car in a number of GT Trophy events last year in the Challenge class and also the same car that Richard has run in the Bathurst 12 Hour for a number of consecutive years. This is also the car that won the Challenge Championship in 2015 in Australia GT Championship.
To make the step up into the Lamborghini was a big decision but one that will hopefully suit Richard well. The car will run as an outright car for the Trophy series.
The team and Richard are hopeful of big things this year. The Lamborghini is an ex Factory Peter Knox car that won the series overseas and then set dormant for a number of years and was purchased at the Monaco auction. Richard purchased the car from the gentleman that purchased the car at the auction.
The car arrived in Australia just prior to Christmas. We had a shakedown of the car at Sydney Motorsport Park and have made it our own since.
We are looking forward to a strong year in the GT Trophy Series and looking to start that off this weekend at Sandown.
Safe-T-Stop will continue to be the main sponsor of the Lamborghini, so you see the familiar yellow branding out on track.

Walleee’s words on the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix
Mar 28, 2017
Not the round that we were hoping for! Started off the weekend strong in practice, ending practice in P1.
Not a lot of time to turn the car around heading into qualifying. With a few fresh faces coming into the series for the weekend we anticipated a short qualifying session which in a lot of way put us behind as we opted for one set of tyres in the 20 minute qualifying session. I had a lap going but unfortunately got held up by one of our championship contenders which was disappointing and that really put us behind where we should have been. We were then held up again at the end of the session, not ideal and we ended up P7, but felt should have been in the top 3 or 4 at worst.
We were hopeful that we could move our way forward throughout the weekend. Race 1 we moved up 1 position, race 2 moved up another one, to 6th and 5th. Followed by two more 5th places for the weekend.
We opted for a different tyre strategy hopeful that it would come back our way in races 3 and 4, but unfortunately not to be. It really hurt us running the way that we compared to the rest of the field tyre wise.
Overall a very flat weekend, we wanted to be on the podium. We ended up 6th for the round, but still maintaining our 2nd place in the championship and only 34 points of the lead. It’s only the 2nd round but it’s good to be at pointy end. Now we look forward to a break and ironing out a few things that we want to fix before heading to Phillip Island for 2 day test in the lead up to the event in May.
Massive thanks to everyone that makes it possible as always, Wilson Security, PAYCE and Shannons.
A very big thanks to everyone at Wall Racing as well to put in the effort over the weekend as we never gave up, which is always great to see. We wanted to improve the car in our limited running that we had and we spent a lot of time trying to do that and in a lot of cases we did but we could really show our pace after the set backs in qualifying and it’s very hard to pass in a one make formula but let’s move onto Phillip Island and we got some points and bring on the next one.

Walleee’s words on the Clipsal 500
Mar 15, 2017
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 1
First of all it’s great to be back in Carrera Cup again for another season and with the same car, same team and even the same sponsors again is a massive benefit to assist us to hit the ground running and this showed in the first practice sessions of the year.
This year we know a lot more about the car and also for myself the way that the 911 needs to be driven, this should see us be strong across all sessions throughout the season.
First qualifying session for the season we qualified 4th, I wasn’t that wrapped with 4th. We went for one direction in qualifying tyring to get two sets of tyres in and short session that we had and the colder morning that really affected the car. I also made a small mistake on one set of tyres as well, it didn’t all flow the way we wanted to, but 4th wasn’t the end of the world, but we should have been on the front row!
We came back through to 2nd in the first race, had a win in Race 2, which is always a good thing to get a win at the start of year (well at anytime throughout the year a race win is good) and then backed up for 2nd in the final race.
A little disappointed that we didn’t get the overall round win, we ended up equal first round for the round and on a count back ended up 2nd. We still leave Adelaide joint leader in the championship, 168 points is great to take away from the first round and we are looking forward to heading to the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix.
A few small changes to make to the car before the Grand Prix, we will look to fine tune a couple of the 1% items.
Always good to get to the Grand Prix, not only to drive these cars on a track that they were almost built for but the atmosphere, the event itself and seeing the new Formula 1 cars will be exciting.
Clipsal was very good for us this year, always great to visit the House of Chow, my favourite Chinese restaurant and have a good weekend but also have a lot of fun doing it!
Thank you to everyone at Wall Racing that put in the effort over Christmas to fix the things that we wanted changed in the car and make it as good as we possibly could heading into a new season.
And as always a massive thanks to Wilson Security, PAYCE and Shannons for making it all possible.

Walleeee’s Bathurst 12 Hour review
Mar 15, 2017
Wow what a race! It doesn’t seem to matter how many times I go it never stops being such a special place!
First up, I really want to pay credit to the whole Wall Racing team. They put in an unbelievable amount of hard work so we could get the new Nissans prepped and on the track at Bathurst. From the moment we bought them in America, we were on a very tight time frame. Without my teams dedication there is no way we would have made it!
Looking back at the weekend as a whole, I am really proud that we were able to prepare three cars that were not only fast, but also reliable. This a result of the long hours the guys put in before the race. They poured their heart and soul into delivering the cars in such a perfect condition and I am very proud of what they achieved.
The race weekend itself was one the biggest efforts Wall Racing has undertaken. With three cars under our control, we had a team of 42 (including drivers) at the track, so the logistics as you can imagine were far from simple!
Standing at the back of our garage looking in and seeing all the hard work come to fruition was a proud moment.
So onto Bathurst!
The shake-down at Sydney Motorsport Park the week before the race went as well as we had hopped. Each of the drivers got a chance to drive the new cars, and for the team it was a very brief introduction to the Nissans before we made the trip to Bathurst.
Day 1 – Practice
All the drivers in car 38 had been to Bathurst before – although not in a Nissan. So for them it was about tuning the car, these details were then shared with the sister car 66 where two of the drivers had not raced at Bathurst before. This meant they were rightly able to focus more on learning the track.
For our Safe-T-Stop Porsche – Well, it ran faultlessly as always!
So by the time Friday night came we had three straight cars and plenty of new data to process!
Overall we were very happy with our first day at the mountain.
Day 2 – Qualifying:
There was one more practice session first up, then we sent our fastest guys out in the Nissans for qualifying. This was Chris Pither and owner Brett Hobson.
Even during qualifying we were continually chasing the final few tenths out of the cars set up. Unfortunately we saw some high temperatures in the middle of the day, right when qualifying was held, which for a turbo car is your worst enemy.
But overall the boys put in a solid performance. Brett did a low 2:06 which considering he had only done ten laps prior to qualifying was a very good effort. Chris did a high 2:04 with some time left in himself, but still a good result and plenty of promise for the race.
Saturday was a late one for the boys prepping the cars for the race the next morning, getting to bed at about midnight, just 3 hours before the alarm went off!
Day 3 – Race day:
Starting an endurance race in the dark is unbelievably special. It is something only a few people ever get to experience, and to do it the Mountain is even more incredible.
It is always a frantic start but all of our guys were able to make strong starts. It all came undone for Chris very early on though when a car spun in front of him, leaving him nowhere to go in the dipper.
Unfortunately the result was damage to both the left and right sides of the #38 Nissan which effectively put them out of the race. The decision was made to do everything we could to get back out on track, and even though this meant we spent the rest of the race fixing problems caused by the accident, the team didn’t give up.
Chris was still able to set a lap time of 2:06, even with the battle wounds, which was very impressive even if it did leave us wondering “what if”. Both Daniel Bilski and Adrian Flack did a great job, along with Chris to keep fighting throughout the race. Both were able to go faster in the race than they had done the rest of the weekend as they got increasingly comfortable in the car.
For the #66 Nissan, the race got off to a very impressive start. With Brett Hobson behind the wheel putting in one of his best drives, he passed many cars in his first stint, going much quicker than he had done all weekend. This exceptional drive saw Brett bring the Nissan into the pits in 8th outright, and leading their class – a mega effort! As the day went on both of the American drivers drove well in their first visit to Bathurst, getting better as they did more and more laps.
Unfortunately Fred Poordad made a small mistake going into Skyline in the 8th hour and he ended up running slightly wide. Unfortunately, given the late stage in the race, the track was very dirty off line, and it was enough to result in a very nasty accident for him – hitting the wall hard. The hit was serious enough to leave him very battered and bruised, and with a short stay in hospital. We hope he is on the mend and wish him all the best with his recovery.
With the size of the accident and the serious amount of damage done to the car they were out of the race immediately. It is really disappointing for the team as they looked to be on track for a top ten outright and a podium position in class. So it was a case of the one that got away – but hey that’s Bathurst for you, it bites hard!
For the Safety Stop Porsche in Class B, it was another solid run for this team that has raced together at Bathurst before. Richard Gartner and his three amigos all jumped in the car and did a fantastic job all weekend. The car is now one of the older cars in its class, but they did a fantastic job to come home fourth in Class B.
I couldn’t be more proud of my guys – no mechanical problems on any car over the whole weekend! It was a massive undertaking, but we delivered exactly what we set out to for our customers.
There was little time to rest for the team after the chequered flag had fallen on Sunday. The team got stuck straight into the big job of packing up. The boys did not finish agian until close to midnight – a massive effort from the whole team and I am sure they slept very well once their heads eventually hit their pillows that night!
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved. I particularly want to thank Hobson Motorsport for putting their trust in us to run their two Nissans. And to Richard Gartner who has been with us for a very long time and who has some exciting plans with us in the future.
It is great that we are able to work with great customers like these guys, and I hope that we are able to exceed their demanding expectations. It is an honour to be given the opportunity to be a part of their motorsport adventures.
I am going to finish this Wallees Wrap up as I began – thanking my incredibly hard working team. To achieve what we did at Bathurst meant a lot of sacrifices from them. Less time with their family and friends and plenty of long days for weeks in the lead up.
But the credit is to them they did it all with a smile – It is one of the best teams we’ve had and I’m already looking forward to next years race!

Wall Returns for Another Crack at Porsche Carrera Cup Australia
Feb 9, 2017
David Wall has confirmed he will return to the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia in season 2017.

Last year was David’s first full season back behind the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup since 2008, but he and his team were quickly up to speed with the new car.
David claimed 3rd place outright in the 2016 Championship with Wall Racing, and together they are looking forward to building on their success, and aiming even higher for 2017.
“It is really good to come back after a huge learning year last year for both myself and Wall Racing,” said David.
“To have finished third in the Championship in our first year back was very satisfying. Most teams already had a few year
s of running the new Porsche under their belt, but we persevered and the results came. We had a really good run of podium finishes including a race win in the second half of the season.”
Since finishing the season on the Gold Coast in October last year, David and the team have been busy working on the car.
“Wall Racing has done some work on the car already, and between now and Clipsal we will have at least one test day to ensure we are ready for the new season,” David continued.
“We know the challenge on track will be just as tough as any other year in Carrera Cup. There will once again be some really tough combinations of drivers and teams that we know are more than capable of winning races day in and day out. We will be coming back with the same team, the same car, and the same loyal group of sponsors, so we are hoping this continuity will serve us well.
“To say I am looking forward to getting back in the #38 Porsche is a huge understatement – Clipsal can’t come round quick enough!”
David will again be backed by his long standing supporters, PAYCE, Wilson Security, and Shannons Insurance. David has been in partnership with these three companies for much of his racing career, and he is proud to have the opportunity to race for them once again.

Bathurst 12 Hour : Live Diary
Feb 3, 2017
Sunday 5 February
BATHURST 12 HOUR
Race Results
#38 – Pither/Flack/Bilski
Class AAM
Bathurst 12 Hour – 5th (overall 31st)
Chris Pither – Car # 38
Disappointed with the overall result today in the Hobson Motorsport Nissan GTR, we showed some potential at different times unfortunately we got caught out early in the race only a few laps in, wrong place wrong time with a spinning car in front blocking the circuit and sustaining damage to the right rear suspension. The boys did a great job to get the car repaired and back on track and I guess at the end of the day to finish the race and collect the checkered flag and finish 5th in class is not bad considering the challenges that we faced today.

#66 – Hobson/Davis/Poordad
Class AAM
Bathurst 12 – DNF
Brett Hobson #66
Disappointing end to the day after we started so well in the opening stint, moving up to 9th from 27th. At the end of the day that’s motor racing and we all come here knowing that there is a high risk for something to happen it’s just a shame that today it was us on the receiving end of it. We’ll work through it and come back bigger and better.

#6- Gartner/Zerefos/Padayachee/Shaw
Class B
Bathurst 12 Hour 4th – (21st overall)
Gartner #6
It was disappointing not claim 3rd for the race after being in that position for the majority of the day, but we shouldn’t be disappointed if you consider that most other teams have much faster cars and they have professional drivers, we were one of the only true amateur teams. We can be proud of our efforts.
Aaron Zerefos #6
We finished the race in 21st, 4th in class. We are all very excited. It was tough out there today with the heat and faster cars. All the co-drivers did a great job and moved from 45th to 21st. I would like to thank Wall Racing, Richard Gartner everyone for making it happen and it was great.

PRACTICE & QUALIFYING WRAP
#38-Pither/Flack/Bilski
Class AAM
Practice 5 – 11th (Fastest Lap: 2:11.152)
Qualifying- 26th/7th in Class (Fastest Lap: 2:04.752)
Daniel Bilksi #38
Always special being at Bathurst, it is only my second real shot at doing the 12 hour at Bathurst. It is great fun, really challenging, the team is doing a wonderful job with the GTRs, the first time they have run the cars and it’s a fantastic piece of equipment to have at Bathurst. To drive a GT3 here is really a big step up, super challenging, very high concentration levels but you’ve got another 54 cars on the grid to add a little bit of difficulty to the mix. Everything is going well so far and we are confident we will have a good race tomorrow, we aren’t that worried abut qualifying position because it’s a 12 hour race and we will have to see how it all goes tomorrow. All the drivers are gelling as a team with the crew. The car is great and I am confident we can pull off a good result tomorrow.
#66 – Hobson/Davis/Poordad
Class AAM
Practice 5 – 8th (Fastest Lap: 2:08.221)
Qualifying – 30th/10th in Class (Fastest Lap: 2:06.513)
Brett Hobson #66
Qualifying was good today, unfortunately we didn’t have enough time in the car during Qualifying 1, we tried to get out in the back half of the session but there was a red flag when I was heading up Mountain Straight, so I missed any laps in that session and they had changed the gear changer. I had set my sights too high for qualifying but a 2:06 is good in the end. Moving into the race tomorrow we have good race pace as long as we keep our nose clean, I am pretty sure we will be there somewhere and hopefully we finish on the lead lap.
#6- Gartner/Zerefos/Padayachee/Shaw
Class B
Practice 5 – 5th (Fastest Lap: 2:21.518)
Qualifying – 47th/5th in Class(Fatest Lap: 2:18.280)
Aaron Zerefos #6
So far the weekend has been very smooth, leading up to endurance races the most important thing is to have the car in on piece, which we do have. The Porsche is looking like a good race car for tomorrow and hopefully we can chip away, put our head down and see where we end up at the end of day.
Friday 3 February

Practice 4 – 4th (Fastest Lap: 2:07.389)
Chris Pither – Car # 38
First day in the car, running in three practice sessions. For us today it was all about getting settled into the car and learning for race day. We did longer runs and learnt about the tyres, how they wear and different fuel loads. Productive day and a very exciting car to drive, had lots of fun and jumped out of the car with a massive smile on my face. Looking forward to having another crack tomorrow.

#66 – Hobson/Davis/Poordad

Practice 4 – 8th (Fastest Lap: 2:09.183)
Brett Hobson – Car #66
Today was good, having two gentleman drivers in the car we had to get them up to speed so I didn’t get too many laps in the car, we only managed 5 to 6 laps each session. It was good to be not too far off the pace and looking forward to getting more laps in the car tomorrow.

#6- Gartner/Zerefos/Padayachee/Shaw

Walleeee’s Season Finale Gold Coast Wrap
Nov 24, 2016
The Gold Coast street circuit is a very hard circuit to get right. In the Supercar we had a very good weekend there but once again double duty in Porsche. I found it difficult to go from the Volvo back to Porsche rather then the Porsche back to the Volvo.
We still managed to have a solid weekend finishing 5th for the round, this wasn’t what we wanted as we were really hoping to finish the season out with another podium.
We had a couple of things that we had to deal with to get us through. The car was very difficult over the kerbs and the back chicane. As it worked out our target ended up being 3rd in the championship for the year which we achieved.
To finish 3rd against teams and/or drivers that have been running these cars for a number of seasons, both here and overseas and to be one of the three different teams that came 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the year was great. Absolutely very proud of all our guys and the effort that everyone has put in. We basically did everything that we could possibly do to have a shot at the title and we came up third. We are happy with that for our first season in the new 991.
We had a reasonably straight forward year with our preparation, the boys did a great job with the reliability side of the car and I feel like we got on top of the set up side of things 2 to 3 rounds in, which is reasonably quick but it would have been nicer to be quicker again.
Really the turning point for us was half way through the season in Darwin from then onwards we had 12 podiums in 14 to 15 race starts. The last half of the season was the one that made it for us and that was due really nutting out the car and getting what we wanted from it.
That’s my wrap of 2016 season, I am very pleased for everyone within Wall Racing and very happy for my sponsors in Wilson Security, PAYCE and Shannons who enable us to go racing.
Thank you all for a great 2016.
Signing off, Walleeee

Walleeee’ s Bathurst Wrap
Nov 24, 2016
Bathurst was a great weekend for us in the Porsche, although we didn’t quite have enough for Matt Campbell in a straight line. We tried tuning the car to help that and we got a little bit back but it wasn’t enough.
We had another solid weekend in the points finishing 3rd for the round. A little unlucky in the last race to come home 3rd, the previous races finishing 2nd and 3rd.
All in all really happy with the result heading into the last round, only 1 point of 3rd and 14 points off 2nd.
We head to Gold Coast for the final round once again double duties with GRM, the Volvo and Scotty. Really looking forward to the round after the weekend at Bathurst in the Volvo. We had a really good shot at the race win and we were still in a hunt but effectively 2nd or 3rd place finish was our maximum.

Walleeee’s Sandown Wrap up
Nov 16, 2016
First of all the car was really good out of the truck at Sandown, it was great to have a good platform to start from.
Unfortunately we had a failure in practice 2 so we didn’t get to show our true form in that particular session, not going onto our 2nd set of tyres, which were much better then the 1st set that we ran in the previous session.
We fixed the failure heading into qualifying and the car was really good and we were on for a front row position but unfortunately on two separate occasions a couple of the Challenge competitors that didn’t see us, so we ended up with the 6th best time, but the 2nd fastest car in the session.
We managed to put our heads down in the first race and got a few spots early in the race that moved us up to 3rd.
The 2nd race they unfortunately shortened and we ended up 5th, with our tyre pressure a little lower. In the final race of the weekend we reset and went back to what we had in race one and move back up to 3rd again.
Overall a really good weekend and finished 3rd in the points for the weekend and consolidated 4th position in the championship and reduced the points the championship leader.
Two rounds to go and hopefully we can have strong round at Bathurst. We have made a few subtle changes and some little bits and pieces into the car.
Double duties again with GRM, I am looking forward to jumping back into the Volvo and getting plenty of seat time around Bathurst, which is never a bad thing!

Walleeee’s words on Darwin
Jul 5, 2016
Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 4
“Darwin Simply put – it was an awesome round!”
The wall Racing team and I went there feeling reasonably positive knowing that we had the advantage of having raced there more recently than others we were racing, and particularly as we had raced there in a Porsche previously.
For the team, it was the first time anyone had raced this generation Porsche at the track, so it was a more level playing field with it being a new track for all of the teams with this car.
The round got off to the best possible start, with us topping the times in first practice.
We changed things around in our practice sessions for this round – running the newest of our Michelin tyres in the first session. We did this to give us a good understanding of what we needed to do to get the most out of fresh rubber later in the weekend
In practice two we ran older tyres while those around us ran their new tyres. We were really happy with our pace in that session, and confident that we had made improvements. Overall we ended up with the second quickest time for the day.
We went a bit too far with the car set up in qualifying which was not ideal and we had to settle for 7th, but we pushed it back for race one and fought back to claim 2nd place.
The car felt really good though, and we were quietly confident going into race 2 – but this is an incredibly tough Championship and we were taking nothing for granted!
It worked out perfectly for us though – coming home to claim our first win for the team and for me this season! A huge amount of hard work has gone in to getting to this point and I am so happy to have been able to reward the team with this result. Hopefully they now think the long days and nights spent fine tuning the car to get it just how I wanted it have been worth it!
It was also really great to be able to give Wilson Security, Payce and Shannons Insurance a win as well – I would not be able to do this without their support! It was particularly nice to have been able to do it with a lot of them up there cheering me on, maybe they need to come to all of the rounds?!
We were able to come home in second place in the third and final race of the weekend, meaning we finished the weekend in second outright.
Aside from the results, which were obviously a highlight, one of the biggest positives is where we are with the car set up now.
We are sitting in 4th place in the Championship at the half way point and hopefully we can keep chipping away at it. I think there is still a bit more to find from the car so we will not be sitting back and taking it easy! It would be nice to pick up a few more race wins in the second half of the season.
Next up we return to Sydney Motorsport Park – our home track. We had a mixed weekend results wise last time we raced there at Rennsport, but there were plenty of positives so I think we are going into the round.
The round will be a combined round with the Carrera Cup Asia which will add a layer of complexity, but it is an exciting opportunity!

Walleee’s Carrera Cup update
Jun 27, 2016
We are now three rounds in to the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia season and I can honestly say I absolutely love being back as a part of it again. Back in the Porsche, and back on the Michelin tyres again – the whole package is really enjoyable.
In a way we hit the ground running, topping both practice sessions at the opening round of the season at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide. This was actually something the team and I spoke about before we even got there; we wanted to come in and make a big impact on our first day back in the series.
Unfortunately we didn’t quite get it right the next day! Perhaps we should have stuck with our House of Chow strategy from the day before? Even though we didn’t get the results we wanted in the end, we still came away with plenty of positives.
Next up was one of my favourite events of the season! Round two at the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix is always an enjoyable weekend, the track has always been phenomenal – it is one of my favourite tracks. To race as a part of such a world class event on the global motorsport stage is such an amazing opportunity!
Just as we did at Clipsal, we once again we chipped away at it all weekend, making the car better and better. By the end of each weekend we felt like we had made good progress which is what we need to be doing at that point.
Next up was my home round, and a track where we had actually tested at with the new Porsche so for once we were not coming into the weekend with a completely blank sheet of paper.
The round was a different format to the other rounds in that there were two races each one hour long, and each raced with a co-driver. Joining us for the round was Adrian Flack. We have done a lot of racing with Adrian’s brother Damien so it was nice to keep it in the family somewhat!
Straight out of the box the car was good. We fine-tuned it using what we had learnt both at the test, and in the opening rounds, making the car better and better as the weekend went on.
Both Adrian and I qualified well for a combined starting spot of 3rd. We got a great start to lead the race for the early laps. Unfortunately we just did not have the pace to hold the lead, but we were able to pit for our driver change in 3rd place. With Adrian in the car, he drove really well. It was only a small error that saw us finish 4th outright.
We were really confident going into the second race of the weekend, the car felt great in the morning warm up after we made a few adjustments overnight!
Unfortunately Adrian stalled the car at the start, dropping us back to dead last. This meant that we did not get the result we were after, but again there were still plenty of positives to take away from the weekend. The pace is very much there and we have a couple of changes we want to make to the car before we go to Darwin and hopefully that will help us.
Really enjoying racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia and actually really enjoying my motorsport so far this year and we are not even half way through the season!
We are looking forward to Darwin, particularly as we will be one of only a few drivers and teams that have raced there since Carrera Cup was there in 2007 to be back there, especially with the new surface that is less than 12 months old, we are hoping that it is going to be an enjoyable weekend.
The car is very good to drive, very rewarding and we are racing at some of the biggest races in the country, and in the process giving Payce, Wilson Security, and Shannons plenty of exposure along the way. The Series is great for everyone involved.

Australian Sports Sedans and the Des Wall Trophy
Jun 27, 2016
Having the opportunity to compete for the Des Wall trophy in the opening round of the Australian Sports Sedans Championship has to have been one of the most special things I have ever done. To do it in Dad’s #38 Corvette – the car in which he claimed his Championship win – was an opportunity I just could not turn down. It was very, very cool.
Launched at the start of 2013, the Des Wall trophy was established to remember the contribution Des made to Australian motorsport, in particular the Australian Sports Sedans Championship that he won in 2009. It is awarded to the winner of the third and final race of the first round of the Championship each year.
It would not have been possible with support from my amazing partners – all of whom knew Dad well. I have to say a massive thank you to Shannons Insurance, Wilson Security and Payce for making this happen.
I was really looking forward to finally having a chance to drive it! I had not done more than a couple of laps at Mallala to run the diff in for my Dad once, but that was nothing like driving it in anger
As a team, we really enjoyed getting back to Sports Sedans as well. We hadn’t raced with them for a long time. They are definitely the most thrilling cars in the country, but still great fun to race!
Our aim going into the weekend was just to have a good, fun weekend, driving my Dad’s car. We’ve made a few upgrades to the car since Dad passed away, and if we can get our heads around everything we were hoping to be quick enough for a good result.
Dad always said that the car was awesome to drive – and now I know exactly what he meant! These cars are absolutely phenomenal! The whole weekend was such an amazing experience.
Unfortunately we just missed out on the top step, but maybe we have to come back again next year to try again?

Wall Racing finishes on the Bathurst 6 Hour podium
Jun 27, 2016
Wall Racing returned to the Mountain at Easter with a highly experienced line up; John Bowe joining David Wall in the Bathurst 6 Hour.
The team entered a Mitsubishi EVO IX GSR. This is the same car that the team debuted in the 2008 Bathurst 12 Hour, scoring Pole Position and a Class win.
The team was not expecting an easy race this time round given the amount of time the EVO has spent off the track, but they are excited about getting it back on track.
“The EVO is owned by Alan East, who still works with Wall Racing. It was his idea to enter the car in the race, and of course I jumped at the chance,” said David.
“There was some great competition during the weekend, with over 50 cars entered for the event, but we were hopeful of a good result. We had not run the car since 2011, so there was a bit to do to get it ready. I have to thank Alan for the opportunity though – we all enjoyed ourselves!
“It is always a great weekend when you get to race around the best track in the country!”
The race came down right to the wire for the team, with Wall just managing to claim the final spot on the podium in the final laps of the race.
A tyre failure in the final two hours dropped Wall – and teammate John Bowe – off the lead lap and ultimately dropped them into the fight for third with the Caine / Gerry Murphy newer Evo X. Fighting against a car that was significantly quicker on the straights, Wall managed to bring their car home in an impressive third place.
The EVO ran a new livery featuring both Wilson Security and Payce, long-time supporters of both David and John.

991 First outing a success
Feb 15, 2016

991 First outing a success
With a quick turn around after the Bathurst 12hr it was all hand’s on deck to finish our 991 and kick off the 2016 Australian Carrera Cup campaign.
The day started with simple systems check’s but it wasn’t long before we started to adjust the car and make the most of the test day learning what the car would like and what it wouldn’t.
First impressions for David where the car lacked some slow speed turn as well as high speed stability, so the team set about trying some changes to improve those area’s. The high speed was fixed reasonably quickly with some big setup change after lunch, but the slow speed turn was still something that was costing David time.
The boys reaching into the bag of tricks they had learnt in the morning’s testing session making some drastic changes with the front end allowing it come to life.
David and the team were very happy with what was learnt in our first day but also with the pace the car had at the end of day on its new tyre run.
The team is now getting ready for one more test day before heading to round one at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide on March 3 – 6.

Podium finish for 12 Hour
Feb 15, 2016

Wall Racing – Podium finish at Bathurst 12 Hour
Wall racing returned once again to this year’s Bathurst 12hr event with high hopes, putting forward two cars in the competitive class B.
Car 38 the 2009 model Porsche Cup S of Paul Tresidder this year joined by David Wall and Daniel Bilski.
The car qualified p2 in class by David and after an earlier set back in practice where Paul was left no where to go leaving him making contact with a slower car then the wall. After the repair on Friday evening and a positive qualifying session on Saturday team was happy with the car and ready to tackle the big day that lay
ahead.
Car 6 of Richard Gartner’s was once again joined by Aaron Zerefos and two new faces to the 12 Hour line up this year drivers Michael O’Donnell and Indiran Padayachee. Richard Qualified the car p7 in class and was very happy they would have a good race car heading into the big race.
RACE DAY
With a 3.30am wake up call to ready the cars for the race everyone was in high spirits and excited to see what this year’s race will bring. With all final checks complete the cars left pit lane, David Wall starting WOTSO Workspace car 38 and Richard Gartner starting the SAFE-T-STOP car 6.
The race got underway and it wasn’t long before the first incident at turn 2 slowed the field, but both our car’s came out the other side well with David coming out around p1 in class and Richard p5. The race settled down with both cars more than happy with there progress in the first stint. All drivers then started to line up for their stints
with everyone not only driving well and staying out of trouble but also lapping faster then they have ever before at the mountain.
At the 6 hr mark car 38 was in a great position but it was to be short lived with the car eventually retiring with a broken gearbox caused from the damage sustained earlier in the weekend. Car 6 however was continuing to push on and was now a comfortable p3 in class. As the race continued car 6 was cut off by a Lamborghini and was lucky not to have the damage put them out of the race, although it did have bent steering the team elected to push on and this was a good decision as one hour from the end the car had now elevated to p2 in class. The last hour a safety car was called and this was perfect for our strategy with the car coming in for its last stop and Richard back behind the wheel to bring the car home it would be tight on fuel but we got home p2 in class and p16 overall a great result for the 2007 cup car. ( the oldest car in the calss B feild )
Well done to our entire team with everyone from our cooks to drivers all 25 put in a massive effort and it was great to make the podium for the finish.
Bring on next year what a great way to kick of 2016.

Double Class Champions in Australian GT
Dec 21, 2015

Wall Racing – Double Class Champions in Australian GT
Multiple Australian GT Championship winning team, Wall Racing, has returned to the Australian GT Championship in the best way possible, by winning both the Trophy and Challenge Class Championships.
Wall Racing ran two cars in the Australian GT Championship. Greg Taylor and Barton Mawer in an Audi R8 LMS Ultra in the Trophy Class, and Richard Gartner in a 997 Porsche in the Challenge Class.
The season finale was held in New Zealand at the Highlands Motorsport Park, and unfortunately the weekend got off to a tough start when Bart Mawer hit the wall hard in the #38 Audi on the last corner in his qualifying session. The accident not only ruled him out of the rest of the session, but also meant the team had to work through the night to get the car on track for race 1.
Starting where his co-driver Greg had qualified, Bart started the race and got the pair off to a fantastic start by jumping their closest Championship rival, Theo Koundouris. Bart held this position and they were able to come in for the driver change holding that advantage.
A defining moment of the weekend, and the season, came when Greg was able to pass Jan Jinadasa in the closing laps of the race. This gave Greg and Bart the extra points they need to all but seal the Championship win.
By finishing 10th in Race 1, Greg and Bart went into Race 2 knowing all they needed to do was finish to claim the 2015 Trophy Class. Things did not go quiet to plan when a tap from another competitor sent Greg into the gravel trap early in the race. He was able to return to the track, and knowing they just had to finish, the team repaired some minor damage during their compulsory pit stop. Bart then jumped into the car and nursed the car home safely to win the Championship.
It was not only in the Trophy Class where Wall Racing has been on top this year.
Richard Gardner went into the weekend with an all or nothing attitude knowing that he needed a maximum points haul to win the Challenge Class Championship. In qualifying Richard did a great job to qualify 2nd, but most importantly he was ahead of his nearest Championship rival.
Race 1 saw Richard hit by another competitor while he was running in the lead of his Class. While the incident caused damage to the right front of his Porsche, it was not enough to put him out of the race and he was able to finish. His closest Championship rival was not so lucky when he had contact in a separate incident, putting him out of the race and scoring no Championship points.
As a result Richard went into race 2 needing just to finish. Richard was on a role though, and he not only finished the race, he did enough to win his Class for the weekend and to claim the 2015 Challenge Class Championship.
With both Championships secured, Wall Racing turned their attention to the Highlands 101.
Unfortunately there was a last minute driver change in the #38 Audi after Greg Taylor was not able to compete due to a knee injury. Nathan Antunes instead joined Bart in the car. The pair started the race from an impressive P9 outright. The pair came home in 8th outright, and first in Trophy Class, continuing the strong performance of the #38 Wall Racing Audi this year.
Richard Gartner was joined by Indiran Padayachee for the mini-endurance race. They both drove very well, coming home first in the Challenge Class for the race and sealing a very successful year.
The strong performance from both entries is a credit to the hard work of David Fyfe, David Wall, and the whole Wall Racing team. Particularly impressive is the fact the #38 Audi ran the whole season without a single DNF demonstrating the meticulous preparation.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better finish to the 2015 AGT season,” said Team Manager, David Fyfe.
“Greg Taylor and Bart Mawer in the #38 Audi winning the Trophy Class, and Richard Gartner driving his #53 Porsche to victory in the Challenge Class is the perfect result!
“My thanks go to our whole team – we may not be the biggest team, but our success speaks for itself. The team’s attention to detail and sheer determination has helped us enjoy this success.”
For Wall Racing there is not much time to sit back and enjoy this moment. The team is now busy working on their Bathurst 12 hour plans which will be announced soon.
