Walleee’s words on Bathurst

Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 6 – Bathurst

We started off the weekend well topping the only practice session of the weekend and then straight into qualifying the next day was even better to come out with pole position, our 3rd for year.

We won the start of Race 1 and managed to go onto win the race after a battle with Alex Davison at the end, so very happy with the way the weekend had started.

Come Saturday track conditions were very different and we didn’t quite have the balance and the set up that we had for race 1, but we managed to come home in 2nd, once again battling with Alex at the end of the race. Heimgartner ended up winning the race.

Overall still satisfied at this point. We went into the last race trying to get our car balance back and the car was actually much better then race 2, but not as nice as race 1. We managed 3rd in race 3 having already used out best tyres for the weekend.

To come away with 2nd overall for the weekend, a pole, race win, 2nd and 3rd is very satisfied and very proud of everyone at Wall Racing and also very happy for all our sponsors on the car PAYCE, Wilson Security, Shannons, without them we wouldn’t even have the opportunity to be racing.

Bring on the last round! I am pumped already nothing the like the streets of the Gold Coast.
