Round 4 GT Trophy Series – Phillip Island

To head down to Phillip Island was a very big step for Richard, to take such a fast car like the Lamborghini to the island having only previously driven GT3 Cup car early evolution there, so to go from that to the all-mighty Lamborghini was a big step.

Richard completed a test day at Phillip Island 2 weeks prior to the event which really enabled him to hit the ground running and he learnt a lot on the day in the dry conditions.

Then come the race meeting unfortunately it was raining. Richard had a few things not go his way during the weekend so unfortunately it didn’t go to plan like it has in recent rounds especially Queensland Raceway where he was able to take victory in both races.

He still managed to salvage some points for the weekend but not what we were looking for. There is one round to go in the GT Trophy series at Wakefield Park, Richard is still just in contention for the championship but more then likely on track for 2nd or 3rd in the championship if we can have a good showing at our home event.

Richard should be able to hit the ground running at Wakefield Park and bring home the bacon for everyone at Wall Racing and Safe-T-Stop Lamborghini.
