Wall Racing will expand to field three Porsche 991 GT3 Cup cars in the 2018 Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia series.

Reigning 2017 Australian Carrera Cup Champion David Wall returns to defend his championship and will be joined by James Moffat, who needs no introduction to Motorsport or to Porsches finishing 3rd in the 2008 Australian Carrera Cup Championship.

Wall Racing is also pleased to welcome Greg Taylor back to the team. Greg won the GT Trophy championship with the team back in 2015.

Wall Racing’s Team Manager, David Fyfe, believes that 2018 will be an exciting year at Wall Racing with the expansion to three cars.

“To be able to take the next step with the team and expand Wall Racing further is exciting,” said Fyfe.

“It’s great to have Greg back with the team and with James joining the team it is going to be a fantastic year. We all have high expectations for the season. We are looking forward to taking delivery of the cars and to test in preparation for season opener at the Adelaide 500,” said Fyfe.

Defending series champion David Wall’s #1 Porsche will be supported by Wilson Security, PAYCE, Shannons, JBA Carpet Court and Feltex.

“2017 was an amazing year to come home with the championship, equal pole positions, race wins and everything else that went with that made it a year to remember. After a strong showing in 2016 it was really everything that we set out to achieve. Coming back in 2018 with the brand new car, which is obviously something that we all look forward to as race drivers, to have a brand new car that no one else has driven before you is a special thing. Looking forward to the first run in the new 991 and to have James Moffatt and Greg Taylor on board as team mates is going to be a fantastic addition to Wall Racing and I can’t wait to get going,” said David Wall

“David Wall and I first met at The Farm at a Charity Drive Day and since then have been good friends. I was able to start my racing career in a Porsche with Wall Racing so it’s great to come back to where it all started, after previous success with the team. I am looking forward to the season in the brand new 991 GT3 Cup car and working with a great group of people at Wall Racing. I am also very pleased to be supported by Strongbuild for the season,” said Greg Taylor.

“It’s great to finally confirm that I’ll be racing with Wall Racing in the 2018 Carrera Cup Championship. Last year with David they proved they are more than capable of competing for not only race wins but also Championship’s, so it exciting to be joining the team. It’s been 10 years since I last raced in Carrera Cup, so I’m eager to get out on there and experience the cars again and see what we can achieve on track throughout the year,” said James Moffat

“None of this would have been possible without the great support of Wilson, PAYCE, JBL, Swann and Wall Racing. The start of the season on the streets of Adelaide can’t come soon enough.”

Along with fielding three cars in 2018 Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia series Wall Racing has also returned to the GT3 Cup Challenge series with Chelsea Angelo. Running four Porsches is an exciting prospect for Wall Racing and provides opportunities to build a driver development pathway in the future.

The 2018 Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia season kicks off at the Adelaide 500 on March 01-04.

Angelo’s season gets underway at The Bend Motorsport Park, with her debut outing in the GT3 Cup Challenge in April.
