Last year was David’s first full season back behind the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup since 2008, but he and his team were quickly up to speed with the new car.

David claimed 3rd place outright in the 2016 Championship with Wall Racing, and together they are looking forward to building on their success, and aiming even higher for 2017.

“It is really good to come back after a huge learning year last year for both myself and Wall Racing,” said David.

“To have finished third in the Championship in our first year back was very satisfying. Most teams already had a few year

s of running the new Porsche under their belt, but we persevered and the results came. We had a really good run of podium finishes including a race win in the second half of the season.”

Since finishing the season on the Gold Coast in October last year, David and the team have been busy working on the car.

“Wall Racing has done some work on the car already, and between now and Clipsal we will have at least one test day to ensure we are ready for the new season,” David continued.

“We know the challenge on track will be just as tough as any other year in Carrera Cup. There will once again be some really tough combinations of drivers and teams that we know are more than capable of winning races day in and day out. We will be coming back with the same team, the same car, and the same loyal group of sponsors, so we are hoping this continuity will serve us well.

“To say I am looking forward to getting back in the #38 Porsche is a huge understatement – Clipsal can’t come round quick enough!”

David will again be backed by his long standing supporters, PAYCE, Wilson Security, and Shannons Insurance. David has been in partnership with these three companies for much of his racing career, and he is proud to have the opportunity to race for them once again.Logos
