991 First outing a success

With a quick turn around after the Bathurst 12hr it was all hand’s on deck to finish our 991 and kick off the 2016 Australian Carrera Cup campaign.
The day started with simple systems check’s but it wasn’t long before we started to adjust the car and make the most of the test day learning what the car would like and what it wouldn’t.
First impressions for David where the car lacked some slow speed turn as well as high speed stability, so the team set about trying some changes to improve those area’s. The high speed was fixed reasonably quickly with some big setup change after lunch, but the slow speed turn was still something that was costing David time.
The boys reaching into the bag of tricks they had learnt in the morning’s testing session making some drastic changes with the front end allowing it come to life.
David and the team were very happy with what was learnt in our first day but also with the pace the car had at the end of day on its new tyre run.
The team is now getting ready for one more test day before heading to round one at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide on March 3 – 6.
